The Paula Carr Trust is dedicated to helping people with diabetes in Kent. The Trust was started in 1989 and was named in memory of a young girl called Paula Carr whose family have supported us since the beginning.

Over the past 20 years the Trust has:

  • built and equipped the Paula Carr Diabetes Care Centre in Ashford

  • helped build and equip the Maidstone Paula Carr Diabetes Centre

  • built and equipped the Kent Screening and Training Centre for Diabetic Retinopathy

  • set up the Kent Retinal Screening Service.
