Parents Support Group
Meetings for the Parents Support Group are held at the Paula Carr Diabetes Centre, Ashford, every 2 months on Monday from 10:00 until 12 noon. Friendly faces, coffee, tea and hopefully answers to any questions can be answered by a parent who has also been in the same position, or a nurse we can call on to help us.
This Group is available to all carers of children with diabetes in East Kent.
Dr Martin, the Consultant Paediatrician, Sheena McIntosh, Paediatric dietician and the Paediatric Nurses, Karin, Jo and Jennifer give talks on diabetes at our meetings.The next meeting will be a talk about Insulin Pumps and will take place on Monday, 28th September 2009 between 10 and 12 noon. The next meeting after that will take place on 2nd November 2009.
