The Paula Carr Diabetes Trust is to provide funding to allow people living with diabetes in Kent to try two alternative therapies to relieve their symptoms or help with general well-being.
Oxygen therapy is a treatment that uses oxygen to enhance the body’s natural healing process. It involves breathing in 100% pure oxygen through a mask in an enclosed chamber at twice the normal atmospheric level. This means the blood can carry far more oxygen which boosts the repair of blood vessels and therefore damaged tissues to encourage the body’s natural healing ability.
Oxygen therapy is now being widely used in the USA, mainland Europe, Japan, Russia and China. Click here for more information about Kent Oxygen Therapy.
The second therapy is delivered by Pain Pod, a device bringing natural effective pain relief, recovery and performance benefit to anyone of any age. By combining up to the minute advances in science waveform, electrotherapy and micro currents with the latest neurological understandings, these easy to use devices can be effective in providing pain relief. Click here to find out more about Pain Pod.
With personal experience or knowledge about both therapies, the Paula Carr Trustees have arranged talks at three Diabetes UK Kent groups over the next few months about the potential benefits they can offer people living with diabetes.
At the talks representatives of the Paula Carr Diabetes Trust will outline the funding proposal for people living in Kent who may want to experience one or both alternative therapies.
A simple application form will need to be completed and handed to the Trustees.
