Trip to see ‘Pippin’

March 11, 2020

When the Medway Diabetes team took children with Type 1 diabetes to see ‘Pippin’ the Musical, the Paula Carr Diabetes Trust stepped in to help meet the costs for the trip.

The charity’s trustees were delighted to receive this lovely thank you letter and photos.

Dear Paula Carr Diabetes Trust.
Thank you once again for funding Medway’s Type 1’s children’s trip to
the Hazlitt theatre to watch a performance of Pippin.

Not only did 28 of us all have a great day, the children were able to
meet Eloise who had the lead role and also has Type 1.

She was a super role model to the children letting them know that it
doesn’t have to be so hard. The most important thing is to never ever
let yourself get down about having diabetes.

She even was wearing a Libre under her outfit and nobody won the prize for spotting it!!

Kind Regards
Auntie Annie
(Hospital Play Specialist for Medway’s Diabetes team)
